The election of Obama is the fulfillment of Dr. King's "dream." How is that possible when the man was elected based on the color of his skin and not the content of his character. I would wager that most people who voted for him have no idea that the man has any character flaws. Serious flaws that should be of great concern to anyone who loves this country.
And who'd a thunk you could introduce racism into the abortion debate. There again, it goes against Dr. King's dream. Saving babies based on the color of their skin. (Yeah, I know he said all babies, but his focus was the black babies.)
MLK’s dream was that people of color would be completely equal to white people. Having a man of color become POTUS certainly fulfills that dream! Come on, we all can admit the importance of the fact that a person who never could have eaten in a cafe in Virginia 50 years ago, because he had dark skin, can now be the President of the USA!
It is important for children to see black people as more than just sports figures and rapper/gangsters. This is important to our nation. Sadly, the party that freed the slaves, and who passed the 1964 civil rights bill, was too late in seeing the importance of having a black candidate. Republicans should have had the first black President.
IF Republicans have learned anything, I hope that this is it. That they need to recruit people like this minister for public office. A great deal of black people are against same sex marriage, and abortion——and do not want God kicked out of our government.
