I have a friend, (college educated 50+ year old white woman), who “voted for Obama because he is black. I have always loved black people and it’s time they had a chance.” Honest to goodness that is word for word what she said to me! When I asked, “are you kidding?” Her reply was “well it was my vote and if I made a mistake it won’t be the 1st time nor the last.”.
Another one of our friends told her she was not only stupid, but she was an idiot. Needless to say she is pretty defensive about that vote for Obama now. All that said this woman has always been pro-life and for strong marriage and national defense.
PS. She also said she hated McCain because he was arrogant and had had an affair. I look at her and have to wonder what was in the water in GA this past election cycle.
That lack of logic shows up in the most surprising places these days.

With all of the rain we have had lately (Forsyth County) I told my husband to pay attention to the news. They will manage to get ‘drought’ into the weather segment somewhere.
