It was beyond repulsion (BDS Observations)
Troy Record ^ | 1/24/2009 | Ed Weaver

Folks, there aren’t enough words to express the abhorrence of the Bush Haters for their hate-filled treatment of President George W. Bush at Obama’s inauguration.

Signs reading Impeach Bush (for what); Prosecute Bush (for what?); Jail Bush and Cheney, etc., were everywhere.

People actually gave Bush the finger — while he was still President of the United States — before Obama was sworn in. They booed. They jeered. They mocked.

They sang the 1969 rock hit “Na Na, Hey Hey, Kiss Him Goodbye” (by the group Steam) as his helicopter carried him from the Capitol grounds for the final time.

They rejoiced that Vice President Dick Cheney, having wrenched his back, had to show up in a wheelchair. These are the caring, compassionate Democrats we hear about so often.

No such conduct — nothing close — had ever been seen at any inauguration.

How about the president who left office in 2001? He was a real criminal! He lied to a federal grand jury, a felony that would land every one of us in prison.

Any similar signs in the crowd the day he left office?

It was beyond repulsion.

Just as revolting was the way MSNBC chief hater Keith Olbermann and other leftist talking heads not only defended their conduct but actually applauded them. These are the same people who claim that all the hate in this country comes from the right.

I don’t know of any politician I have less respect for than Bill Clinton, a man of little character and the most self-absorbed human being I’ve ever known of. The fact that my youngest daughter had to grow up (age 6-14) under his scandal-laden presidency still saddens me. She’s 22 now.

He soiled the Oval Office with … well, you know; my editors won’t permit me to say. But I would never, ever even consider throwing an obscene gesture at him, booing him in public, carrying a sign with his name and obscenities.

So many on the left did so to Bush and were generally applauded for doing so.

Class act: As classless as the Democrats were to Bush, he and former First Lady Laura Bush were nothing but cordial, warm and sincere in greeting the new president and first lady.

Media members either ignored that fact or expressed shock by it. Amazing!

And now, Democrats are talking about filing war crimes charges against both Bush and Cheney, simply because they fought terrorists while not being Democrats.

What does that mean? Simple.

If Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, Barack Obama or any other Democrat engaged in such a noble undertaking, everything else being the same, that person would have won at least two Noble Peace Prizes for liberating more than 48 million Arabs and for keeping this country from being hit again. He would be hailed as among the greatest of our presidents. And you all know that’s true.

Those terrorists want to kill Americans and they don’t care if you’re black, white, Asian, liberal, conservative, Democrat, Republican, Troy High fan or La Salle fan. They want as many of us dead as possible and under George W. Bush’s leadership these terrorists were severely weakened.

Give it a read: Dick Morris had a great column earlier this week on TheHill.com Web site. He laments that national socialized healthcare must be stopped. And one key comment was … “Simply put, we enter (Obama’s) administration as free enterprise, market-dominated, laissez-faire America. We will shortly become like Germany, France, the United Kingdom — a socialist democracy in which the government dominates the economy, determines private sector priorities and offers a vastly expanded range of services to many more people at much higher taxes.”

This is a must read for everyone, left and right!

He won’t succeed: Much has been said about Rush Limbaugh and just average, non-consequential little conservatives such as I who don’t want Obama to succeed — or don’t want his policies to succeed.

Two members of this newsroom don’t understand that we on the right want this country to succeed, remain the world’s greatest, and it won’t under Obama’s expanded government: the absorption of as much of the private sector by the U.S. government as possible, from the banking business, to the mortgage industry, the automobile business, to healthcare. We do not want the government in charge of all of these things because the private sector beats the government at anything. Look around you!

If Obama agrees to give taxpayers a tax holiday for a to-be-determined period, freeze capital gains taxes for six months and lower U.S. corporate taxes — the second highest in the free world — I’ll be a cheerleader for him.

Get the difference?

Let me tell you this, too. If I’d asked those above-mentioned newsroom associates on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, “Don’t you want President Bush to succeed in his second term,” they would have thrown whatever was within their reach at me — as well as some obscenities.

... Pr. Bush should officially request asylum from Iraq.
Wouldn’t that put an interesting spin on things?

de Tocqueville’s quote should be familiar to everyone... but sometimes it seems like nobody wants to be good...

{And yes, I do want to be good; that would be great.}

Sorry .. you’re not going to be allowed to hang this mess on Bush .. he was warning about this years ago and the congress refused to listen.

The congress people like Schumer, Dodd and Frank are the people to blame for this mess and their disgusting CRA legislation. This FORCED the banks to lend to people WHO THE BANKS KNEW COULD NOT PAY THE LOANS BACK, and it was so blatantly corrupt and irresponsible - it defies adjectives.

I’m sick and tired of Bush-bashing .. so you can just “get over it” yourself and choose another subject to blame this “mess” on.

"Given the chance I would give Zero the finger."

Given the opportunity I'd be sorely tempted, but I will be eternally envious of Joe the Plumber who kept to the high road - he deflated the pompous anointed "0"ne simply by asking a question he was too afraid to answer.

I support Barack Hussein Obama, but I oppose everything he says and does. Patriotic on my part, huh?

It’s not just “W” they are at war with, anything conservative is like
garlic to a werewolf, or a cross to a vampire.

Sarah Palin, Kathrine Harris, Trent Lott, Newt, Rush, Glenn, Sean, Mark L.
Ann Coulter, Racheal Maddow, the list goes on... they hate us all.

Blaming America’s problems on Bush is what the Commie Democrats do. None of the problems we face today are the fault of Bush or the Republicans. They ALL are caused by the Democrats. It is Very Important we make this point to everyone we communicate with. That Truth is the only way the Commie Democrats can be defeated.

For the last several months I have referred to people who are one or more of the following: stupid, clueless, classless, or vulgar as Obama voters.

Here are some examples:

1. An 18 year old male mugs elderly woman in wheel chair

2. A forty-year old woman inherits grandma's mortage-free house, gets 2nd and 3rd loan for dream vacations with boyfriend.Within two years the she looses the house to forclosure.

3. A middle-age man and drinking buddies decide to drop a large dead cotton wood tree. Unfortunately, the tree drops on man's truck and his double-wide trailer.

4. A twenty something woman insists on passing on narrow, hilly road and crashes into am oncoming 18 wheeler. Girl meets grill -- end of story.

Stories about such people prompt me to declare""Must be an Obama voter."
