Well, take a look at this from the White House web site. And we thought only the Clintons were so arrogant. I'd love an explanation of Michelle and Jill's roles in this administration.
* THE ADMINISTRATION o President Barack Obama o Vice President Joe Biden o First Lady Michelle Obama o Dr. Jill Biden o The Cabinet o White House Staff o Executive Office of the President
I wonder how they plan to pay their wives?
Bailout money!
I don’t recall Michelle Obama being elected to any position or hired by the Federal Government.
Vice President Joe Biden
First Lady Michelle Obama
Dr. Jill Biden
The Cabinet
White House Staff
Executive Office of the President”

Hope Rush, Beck, O'R demands an explanation
Since when did wives of the President and Vice-President become part of the administration?
Noticed the same thing last night. Did not know if this was customary or not. It did not seem like it was, though, because MO and Dr. JB have not been appointed to anything.
LOLOL.......oh I hope Jill Biden does press conferences.
She’s a dim as her hubby.
Keep this cached cuz I’ll bet they pull it after some well deserved ridicule.
If you look at the whitehouse.gov history at archive.org, you’d see that, at the top and bottom of every page of President Bush’s site, there were links to the First Lady’s page and to Mrs. Cheney’s page. Yes, it’s odd that the pages are listed under “Administration,” but the pages themselves are not much different than Laura Bush and Lynne Cheney’s pages - nothing on the pages themselves indicates any “official” role for either person, so I’d tend to think this is more a question of website design and keeping the First Lady and Dr. Biden’s pages next to the President and Vice President (as they were during the Bush administration as well), that it is about implying some “administration” role for the two wives.
Hitlery tried to set the precedent, but rightfully got smacked down. There will be no smackdown of Michelle (aka Patrick Ewing's twin sister.)
The last administration had a tiny lettered “First Lady” section listed at the very bottom of the page.
(I used it last week to check on the new White House dishes.) Mrs. Bush understood she was not the President. It seems Mrs. Obama does not.
Hubris has been used a lot to describe the current President and his wife. I agree.
I think this is much ado about nothing. We have bigger fights to pick with Obama than about his website design.
They were not listed as members of the administration.
Sure, go ahead, let it slide, Senator McCain. Or is it Voinovich? Graham?
oops
You're right. I just hate the hubris of these Marxists who deem themselves "anointed."
Looks like we bought one, got four. Four for the price of one? They're off their rockers, and evidently know not that the wives are not part of the administration.
She's the Official Soup Cooler
