I stand corrected. Many thanks! Lord knows he spent enough time trying to get the go ahead from them. Talk about giving away your plans! At the time I likened it to the police making an announcement that in three days they planned to raid a certain house looking for drugs.

Thanks again!

“Not so. Bush ‘41 made the mistake of seeking UN approval which stated he was only authorized to remove Saddam from Kuwait, not invade Iraq.”

But the Torching of the Oilfields made all that a mute point!

I wonder if a lot of the things we saw with W as time went by weren't his reaction to being kicked in the ass every time he reached out to work with the other side. I think he went into the office honestly believing he could be someone they would work with, only to find out it had nothing to do with him, but much more with the kind of bastards that are on the other side. I know how bitter I've become on those occasions when I put faith or trust in someone who let me down.

To my way of thinking it could easily be that Dubya simply saw the deck was stacked against him and dug in for the duration. He had to accept that they would always be the enemy and there was no way to trust them, so he set about doing what he thought had to be done to keep America safe from a threat than he alone had the intelligence info to make one acutely aware of the danger. Over and over he tried to include others in the loop and time and again it showed up in the New York Times.

I suspect he was glad, prayerfully glad and thankful, to have Jan. 20th arrive and be able to get the hell out of Dodge!

Washington was not Texas. In Texas, even Democrats can be honorable

I think he was blindsided by the atmosphere in DC and by how bastardly the Dems can be in that hell hole.

For my money the Earth could open up and swallow DC, leaving not a trace. As my Dad used to say, if God ever wants to give America an enema, that's where He'll put the hose!

I think I need to work on my attitude!
