The White House is promising new reviews of the "obligations" to the government by broadcasters who "occupy the nation's spectrum" just as the president has targeted conservative talk radio icon Rush Limbaugh for a public attack, raising concerns over the possible restoration of the "Fairness Doctrine," a policy that failed as unneeded and unconstitutional two decades ago.

Destroys the currency, antagonizes trading partners, bans opposition, goes after weapons next: right out of the communist playbook.

"If they take away the voice of talk radio, can violence be far behind" No, It's a new kind of war. One where liberals destroy our nation with impunity while on our side dopes on the radio or on the internet say words. It's a bloodless war where the bad guys don't need to arm and the good guys don't use the arms they have.

I wish him luck in a legal fight with Mark Levin and the Landmark Legal Foundation. Yep, Zero plans to do away with the bill of rights one amendment at a time.

There is nothing in this article that indicates any return of the fairness doctrine-more WND nonsense.

Right, Rush isn’t fair but Kieth Olberman is. Hannity isn’t fair but John Stewart is. This is ridiculous. What’s next, fairness doctrine imposed on opposing bloggers? Death to all who oppose us? God I hate self righteous Democrats.

The “magic negro” has yet to feel the sting of REAL dissent.
In the near future he will step in some pooh and come out looking poorly. He’ll look bad and not like the criticism.
Wait til he approval rating hit a minority and he feels cornered and the press is after his sorry inept ass.

It won’t be done upfront with the “fairness doctrine” from Congress, but through FCC licensing rules which will require “diversity” in programming, set up community committees to monitor the station for content and “diversity,” and reduce license terms from 8 years to 2 years which essentially puts a station under continuous scrutiny.
