Sarah Palin Launches Political Action Committee
Wall Street Journal ^ | Jan. 27, 2009 | Susan Davis

Need another indication that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is eyeing a 2012 bid? Today she launched a new political action committee, SarahPAC, to dole out political donations to Republican candidates.

“SarahPAC believes America’s best days are ahead. Our country, founded on conservative principles and the fight for freedom, must confront the challenges of the 21st century with integrity, innovation, and determination,” states the PAC’s Web site, which boasts that the governor of the oil-rich state is committed to “energy independence.”

As conservative blog RedState.org notes, Palin has a busy calendar, including anticipated appearances at the Republican National Committee’s winter meeting later this week, as well as a speech at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference gathering in late February.

I wonder if that will get the Republican Party's attention?

Soon to be overheard at RNC headquarters: "Hey, guess what? Hockey Mom is getting all the money. D'oh!"

Check the comments. The libbies still hate her guts.

Almost makes me want to re-register as a Republican so I can vote for her in the primary. Almost.

Between watching losers like Perez Hlton freak out about this and Frau Pelosi finding her place under the bus I’d say it’s been a pretty productive day.

I’ve been thinking about her a lot since the election, and all that happened. I didn’t jump on the bandwagon like some did, as I pondered some questions in my mind. I’ve decided that I really like her spirit, and I believe she has the diligence to study up on some of the issues and learn what needs to be learned. Go Sarah!

That’s why I am staying registered, to vote for conservatives in the primaries. I don’t have to contribute time or money to the party but if you want conservatives to run and win you have to be able to vote for them in the primaries. As long as conservatives are still out there to vote for and a legitimate Conservative Party has not been established I don’t see the reasoning for not being at least registered Republican.

I’ve decided that I really like her spirit, and I believe she has the diligence to study up on some of the issues and learn what needs to be learned.

I think she already understands more than we were led to believe. She was hampered by 1) McCain's handlers who insisted that she play nice (and dumb) with the Left, and 2) A hateful MSM who combat-edited her interviews.

But yes, more years of studying on her part can only be a Good Thing.

That’s an awesome visual cue. I hope they can analyze the tricks that Obama did with marketing himself and use it to benefit Sarah.

We all need to FReep this PAC :)
Contribute early and often and show the RNC that conservatives are alive, well, and powerful, and plan to take back the party.

As soon as I heard she was an NRA mmber I was all in. The venom from our fellow "citizens" at the end of that article is astonishing. Μολὼν λάβε

when Fred Thompson bailed out, a pac was formed for him, and then I received emails requesting that I join that one too (donate money).

Before he bailed out, Thompson told us this was the most important election of our lifetime.

I thought then, as I still do now, that he was the one who would stand up against the liberals.

He seemed to just flounder as time went on.. No fire in the belly like Sarah had, then.

After what she was through, I don’t know if she would have it any more.

McCain didn’t have the fire in the belly either.
