The digital signals can be encoded so that they cannot be recorded for later use.HA! It's an honor system tag. The data says "please do not record me!", and the receiver can choose to agree or disagree. It's not encrypted like a DVD or Blu-Ray Based on consumer reaction to this tag being tested (or accidentally turned on), I don't think many receivers will support it.

It may be unenforced now, but digital formats can change.I don't think there is a mechanism to enforce this kind of content protection. It isn't like Blu-Ray where each player has a unique key that could be blacklisted by future discs.

Well, I thought I’d stop back in to eat my serving of crow re: the House Republicans. They all did the right thing on the Porkulus bill in voting against that abortion. Good on ‘em. I really wish they’d had that kind or courage over the last 8-10 years.
