It ended sooner then you think. Think EL Rushbo. Here is a quote.

“I, El Rushbo — and I say this happily — have hijacked Obama’s honeymoon.”

I am going to give the media the benefit of the doubt on this one. I mean we are only week 2 of this Administration.

I have faith that the media’s innate hatred for all humanity will trump its temporary love affair with Bambi.

The sub-humans that drive the media culture are so loathful of themselves that they will come to hate Obama for thinking he is better than they are; or that he doesn’t need them; or they just get tired of the uppity black guy.

The New National Form of Dress in the White House and the Oval Office. Shame!

A "stud" from the get go!

Getting older, as seen in Georgetown.

Speaking of Hawaii, my shot of the Fire in the Sky taken in Maui.

Mad Magazine has it right!

Here's the casual picture of BHO thinking!

Here are the troops, paying "all due respect".

Rush is the reason elected GOPers act like wimps.

Rush is the reason for “Compassionate Conservatism.”

An elected GOPer who espouses conservative principles is going to be accused of “sounding like Rush Limbaugh” or of being “Rush Limbaugh Lite.” No one wants to be described in those terms, and no one is going to be elected if that’s how he’s (or she’s) perceived.

Much better (the politicians think) to position yourself a little to the left, a little to the “moderate side,” of Rush Limbaugh. Guess where “Compassionate Conservatism” comes from.

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. I’m not trying to be negative here. Just realistic.

If Obama were a stock, the media would be "fully invested."

Fully Invested means Fully Exposed

If people cannot trust their news providers, they will find other news providers they can trust. If the MSM insists on having an extended honeymoon with The One, they will be accelerating their decline.

Any failing newspaper in America could immediately reverse their fortunes by taking their watchdog responsibility seriously and reporting honestly on the new Administration. It is informative that, time after time, they choose not to, and accept failure as a result.

“When,” someone recently asked me, “does President Obama’s media ‘honeymoon’ period end?”

Answer: It won’t.

No one wants to be described in those terms, and no one is going to be elected if that’s how he’s (or she’s) perceived.

Honestly the "name calling" is just one shade of paint from a pallete of many colors. If they couldn't accuse them of being "like Rush", it'd be something else, probably something that's actually bad. This type of behavior is classic socialist "shouting down" and is thug-politics at best. No argument on merrits or principles, just destroy the opponent by character assasination and proceed with the agenda over their ashes.

The honeymoon will wane, just as they all do. This one, aided and abetted by the “media” (i.e., P.R. branch of the DNC) will last somewhat longer, but it’ll expire. The media was slobbering itself over Clinton, too, but that faded over time as well.

Larry’s right - with the exception of a handful, the world adores this guy. He’ll continue on to a second term because he’ll have to “finish what he started.” People will blindly buy that nonsense. Only into his second term will he overreach - demanding allegiance. Then many will realize the danger...but it will be too late.

The media honeymoon will end when they think Barack Hussein Obama has made a decision that George Walker Bush would have made.

The media won't end this affair. For another reason the author doesn't mention -- the first black president.

They will apologize for Obama forever.
