The Chicago Machine ruling DC.
Time to spill it on your co-conspirator, Blago.
Bump!
It's a bad bill. The comments by "Repblican senior leaders" seem to establish that. Rahm Emanuel just made it easier to vote against it.
Anything he's for, it's safe to be against. Because Emanuel has never had the best interests of the nation at heart -- only the success of the Democrat party and socialism.
I'm guessing you voted for Palin.
Cheers!
[snip] Every penny in the more than 600-page bill came from a Democratic wish list of pork that dated back to the beginning of the Bush administration. “They were limited the last two years by the White House keeping firm on the cap for each bill,” a congressional source reported to me, “and Nancy Pelosi told them all to send their ideas to David Obey [chairman of the House Appropriations Committee], and he just put them together in one great big earmark.” “We won the election, we wrote the bill,” said Pelosi as many times as she could to an open microphone. But what was happening away from the microphone made it even easier for the Republicans to hold together. All they had to do was bring up Rahm Emanuel. “Rahm hates us and lets us know it, and we hate him back,” said a senior Republican. [end]

Won't work. By my calculations, 182 of 189 Republican incumbents are invincible in 2010. No amount of cash or ads can defeat them. The Dems defeated the low-hanging fruit, and then some. That's it. It only gets easier for us from here on out. Senate too...where we should deliver a similar result.
Finally, in 2010, the Dems are on the electoral defensive. We need to unite. And prepare.
Yeah, that honeybee insurance will create that many jobs all by itself!
Give him He!! !!!! :^D
Hot damn! The PUBS have a spine and are using it. Rahm is politically astute and doesn’t like to lose. Now if the PUBS will just stay strong and united.
Sorry, I’m NOT impressed. We saw what the GOP did when they were the majority. I’m supposed to believe that now that they’re the minority they’ve suddenly found their principles?
No, they didn’t vote for porkulus because there were no goodies for them. If they were in the majority there still would be a porkulus, it’d just be constituted differently. And they’d still be pulling out the credit card to pay for it.
Being against the pile of dung is easy. I want see them consistently voting FOR smaller government, less spending and more freedom. This was a good sign, but it’d be foolish and short sighted to jump back on the bandwagon based on this one vote. And I don’t trust the GOP leadership AT ALL. They have a long way to go before they’ll get support from me again.

I’d rather they stood against it because it was SOCIALISM, but any port in a storm I suppose.
I agree that it does matter for the reasons you cited, but I was considering the results in legislation.
Don't get too geeked up about the democrap defectors. I understood from something I read yesterday that Heath Shuler went to Nazi Pelosi and asked her permission to vote against the bill because he needed the cover back home. There is much work to be done.
TuTU on too tight Rahm ?Bend over
[Give him He!! !!!! :^D]
Hey, I am!! It goes on ‘round the clock’, surprised he’s still standing, lol.
