Honestly, I think socialism will be more accepted within the spanish speaking community. There will be right-leaning latin individuals and conservatives, but cultures do tend to flow with ones races. Nations are meant to change that; as we’re suppose to teach our children our history and they’re suppose to see the brillance in freedom.
Unfortunately ‘white guilt’ is destroying America.
If we are “post racial” will affirmative action end? I doubt it will. Not if I live to be 100.

I have zero prejudice based on a person’s ethnic background. I am, however, 100% prejudiced with regard to a person’s political orientation.
Currently Caucasians are <20% of the world population (maybe around 17-18%) and this is predicted to decrease to single digits by ~2060. Whites are a minority in the world, yet are so often pointed out as the cause of most of the worlds ills. Racism is alive and well, and a lot of it is directed at whites.
What will America look like without Whites? Look at Congo, Zimbawe, South Africa, Liberia, etc. Need one say more>
I think blacks are still only 12 percent of the total. So it aint like we are all gonna be black by the time obama is through with us.

Hispanics are at least 13% and rising fast. Muslims are 1% but they are increasing fast as well. Asians are about 5% I believe.
Here on FR, we're quite philosophical. We talk about philosophies of government. In the past, we've assumed that business people were capitalists and liberals were socialists. A few years ago, I was talking to a guy I know who was a self-made millionaire. He started buying houses and fixing them up himself. Then he'd rent them out and use the profits to buy another fixer upper. He ended up acquiring a small apartment complex. He did all this while working as a firefighter. Anyway, I figured he'd be a big time Republican. He told me "Nope. I vote for the guy who's going to be the best for my hip pocket." He didn't care about social policies, welfare or anything except what would get him the most. I think many people are like that, and this is something that concerns me about America right now.
As a firefighter, I read firefighting publications. It doesn't matter what organization it is, NFPA, IAFF, the IAFC, or FEMA, every editorial is an eloquent explanation of why there's just not enough government money going to fire departments. I also work for a community college, and was at a faculty meeting. One of the instructors was ranting about how the voters just didn't care enough to support education. This county had just voted to pass a 74 million dollar bond package for the college. In a county of 200,000 people, that's a helluva bond package. The college had enough money to build an outdoor ampitheater, buy a horse farm, a restaurant for $350,000, that the college president could use for private receptions, and is in the planning stages for a sixty foot tall bell tower (any of these sound like they have anything to do with the mission of a community college?), but doggone it, people just don't support education.
Sorry for the diatribe, but I can't get that upset at welfare queens who are picking up $800 a month in subsidies when the big shots are grabbing gubmint bucks in bags with six, seven, eight and nine zeros on the end.
Where am I going with this? Just that I think we're in trouble, and I'm not sure that it has anything to do with philosophy of government, but about everyone trying to grab a piece of the pork.

I am upset at all of them. No matter how much they are getting. They all believe they deserve it. They are all leeches on your wallet and mine. Some leeches are just bigger than others. If the welfare cheats could get more than $800 they most certainly would. It’s a mindset. I hate all the people with that mindset. They’re destroying the country by their selfishness.
