Why the American Republic Is the Right Thing

Someone sent me this video the other day, and I thought "how apropos in light of what's happening." A cautionary tale? Perhaps. An enlightening to those who don't know the difference between forms of government? You betcha! This is a must-see video for everyone in America. To know where we come from as a governed society, to where we could be headed if we're not careful.

TOPICS: Constitution/Conservatism; Government; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: freedom; government; republic
I wonder if the history of the founding of the United States is even taught in public schools anymore. My hunch is it is not given who is running the schools now-a-days.

Though nowadays our political opponents like to call the notion of an America Republic: the Right Wing.

Thank God the Indians were still savages and killing them was noble in my old school's Thanksgiving plays.

Cosmic timing is everything.

Very good! Especially starting at about the nine minute mark. Actually pretty scary.

Sounds all too familiar to me.

Grammatically incorrect title!

"Why the American Republic is Was the Right Thing"

The American Republic has not existed for about 60 years. This is a full-fledged democracy.

No it isn’t.

America is now just a ‘state’ in the internationalist regime that blends communism, socialism and corporatist fascism.

The people who will decide the economic fate of this country are meeting in Davos right now. They haven’t been elected by anybody.

Some history is taught in South Carolina schools now, I know this from conversations with an eleven year old niece who does have considerable knowledge of the American Revolution.
On the other hand I have had conversations with high school and even university graduates who could not answer basic questions about things I had to learn to advance to high school. In other words these were things I had to learn by eighth grade.
Of course the other question is just how much of what history they may be taught is factual and how much is politically correct garbage.

"The people who will decide the economic fate of this country are meeting in Davos right now. They haven’t been elected by anybody. "

Agreed.

But, the people who will decide the "final" political future of this country are those Americans who are building their inventory for the chaos ahead.
