LOL. Yep, and when that guy mated with the brunette in the center of the other photo, the result was a fair skinned, blonde haired, blued eyed little girl. Sure, it could happen.
Many Caucasian children are blond. I believe some of the genes that control pigments do not get triggered until puberty.
All but one of the boys in my family had blond hair and blue eyes, though neither of my parents have blond hair or blue eyes.
The mystery is solved, though, when you look at photographs and talk with people and realize that the blond boys look so much like their paternal grandfather...and find out that their father was blond as a child and his hair changed as he aged.
In any case, the recessive genes were there.
