Unfortunately, Ms. Hudson has yet to learn that the National Anthem is not all about her.

Both she and Faith Hill lypsynched their songs.

Minor said Hudson was very calm and prepared, and he counseled her to take the deep breath before she began so she could put herself in the moment. Although entertainers can perform live, Minor insisted that Hudson and Faith Hill, who sang “America the Beautiful” before the national anthem, use the tracks the NFL requires them to submit a week before the game.
“That’s the right way to do it,” Minor said. “There’s too many variables to go live. I would never recommend any artist go live because the slightest glitch would devastate the performance”
I don’t know, that was pretty monumental for her. I mean this is the first she has done anything since her wacko brother in law killed her whole family, including her mother.
She didn’t sing. She flapped her mouth while a previously recorded, endless version of the national anthem played on the PA system.
Why do they do this?
The American Idolization of the nation continues on schedule.
She has a beautiful voice, and she may be a very nice person. She had a great tragedy last year. However, I stand by what I said.
I must be living in a vacuum....I’ve never heard of her.
Did anyone catch the the game where Martina Mcbride sang the National Anthem? Wow, she can really belt it out!
So that it can be digitally altered to make it perfect.
That statement was pretty out of line
Personally, I didn’t care for her performance. IMO, a jazzed-up, soul train interpretation leaves a lot of be desired and even detracts from the nature of the anthem.
The news that this and Hill’s performance were pre-recorded lends just one more level of superficiality to the entire made-for-media advertising event.
I’m glad I switched channels after only a few plays. I understand it was a close game though, which often isn’t the case in these big games.
The National Anthem was presented with respect and given a great performance at a major American Sports event, what the heck is your personal problem?
No you are wrong, the National Anthem is about her, and you, and me, and all Americans, and it certainly represents our Troops. So what the heck is your personal Problem?
Maybe so, but it appeared to me that she was drawing the attention to herself and not the subject of the song.
