LOL - It can be difficult to get along sometimes though with the 'socially progressed Republicans'. I was at a function for Eric Cantor a few years ago and struck up a conversation with a gentleman there, I broached the subject of abortion, giving my opinion on that pernicious and vile act, and he went ballistic on me.
Here was a man who espoused the economics of von Mises, a strong nat'l defense, the 2nd amend., etc. yet read me the riot act over abortion, strongly exclaiming that "you people really have to stop bringing abortion up all the damn time!"..yada, yada, yada.
I calmly listened and when he was finished with his little tirade I asked, "want to know a really great book, one authored by Ronald Reagan?". He half-smiled and inquired, "what's that?". My reply to him was, "Abortion and the Conscience of a Nation" published smack in the middle of his campaign with Gore. Didn't seem to have hurt Ronald's chances in that election, eh?
He just waved me off and walked away. LOL

I embrace the GOP platform concerning "abortion". Reaching out to those who 'don't' and asking them to get beyond OUR beliefs and vote with us on other issues, such as Defense, Taxes, immigration, etc... isn't doing the wrong thing, as long as they know we aren't backing down on legislation.

Sad to say, those who are determined to get an abortion are going to do so regardless of legislation or party affiliation.

Sadly Rush has had similar experiences with the Republican elites. Maybe Sarah, was correct in ignoring these guys over the weekend. We shall see I guess.
