I remember that youtube video. It was taken in Pittsburgh, home of Carnegie-Mellon, one of the best IT universities in the country. A former classmate of my daughter (nice, polite kid, staunch conservative and computer whiz) had just graduated from CMU and couldn't get a single job offer in the area, even though he was willing to work for the going rate. Meanwhile, his classmates from India were getting multiple offers, not because they could be paid less, but because the company would have indentured servants who couldn't move to something better.

The kid finally got a job on the opposite side of the state when the Bush Administration temporarily cracked down on these H1B visa abuses.
