This is why I was never fond of praying to Saints. No matter how saintly a life one lead on Earth, in the end, they were men and women. The Apostles, the original Saints took great care in intimating that it was not about them but Christ.

Why do people pray to saints when they can pray to Jesus?

Are they getting put on hold, or what?

The saints are finite beings who may care a lot, but don't care 1% about you as much as Jesus does.

And there isn’t anything in the teaching concerning saints that contradicts this.
