Sickening read. However I found this post to be very rich in sensible advice. A steady thread of VERY GOOD advice.
The oft scorned business man is given, free of consultant’s fees, wonderful protective advice consisting of merely one word-—DON’T!! DON’T ANYTHING, for your own sake!!
DON’T strive to grow your business, especially a small business. Hire additional employees and you invite future lawsuits that will bankrupt you even if you should win. Mabel did not receive the same wage as Frank...sue! Ed was pass over for the promotion that went to Alice—we head to court. just DON’T
Is your business searching for a cure for cancer? DON’T! If you are unlucky enough to discover the cure that gives life to 123,599 people, but causes a serious or fatal reaction in person 124,000...it is massive lawsuit time and the verdict against you will be in the tens of millions. Rather than a Nobel prize in medicine, you will be the cherished target of every tort lawyer in all 50 states. There will be TV commercials, asking if you suffered from the medicine that has save the lives of countless others. Call the law firm of SOOIM, SCROOIM and RUNNE..you may be entitled to large sums of money. Just DON’T.
DON’T speak out in public. “Hate speech” laws are chipping away at a quaint American “right of free speech”.
DON’T proclaim your religious beliefs in public. You may commit the serious crime of “offending”. So—Don’t.
DON’T volunteer to coach the kids, or be a troop leader. You are to be held financially responsible for any boo-boo’s suffered during the game or activities.
DON’T invest in the future of any company. The regulations governing that company will be changed next Tuesday at 3:30PM.
This is, tragic to say, really good advice, and it is without cost. DON’T lots and lots of DON’Ts

In all fairness, the President cannot be held responsible for all the turmoil afflicting the stock market and the American economy.

I haven't seen that sentence in the mainstream media since at least January 19, 2001!

The money section...

The ones who will truly suffer in the end will be American workers who will be stuck in an economy that will mimic the sclerosis that set back European nations that followed many of the same policies that President Obama and the Democratic leadership apparently desire. Ironically, those nations have realized the errors of their ways and are trying to undo the same type of policies Barack Obama is promoting. They are finding it hard to dig themselves out of the hole -- as will we in the years to come.
