ACORN Gets $2,000,000 from Bailed Out Bank of America

Remember the outrage when it was discovered former Merrill Lynch CEO John Thain – how he spent over a $1 million to redecorate his office, as meticulously itemized by CNBC correspondent Charlie Gasparino for The Daily Beast?

Merrill Lynch was acquired by Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) in September 2008 and Thain was eventually let go, and the backlash for his extravagant redecorating ensued.

But, this latest indiscretion has gone unnoticed by the media – a donation in the amount of $2 million to the ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) Housing Corporation of Chicago, according to a document posted on Bank of America corporate philanthropy Web site – which shows the bank had given the total amount in grant money from October 2007 through June 2009.

We'll go after BoA for gold-plated commodes and Super Bowl bashes, but not for ACORN contributions.

This is an absolute travesty and outrage. OUR hard-earned money confiscated through taxation and given to a corrupt ACORN.

Where are Republicans on this???? Where’s Michael Steele? This is a perfect teaching moment.

Relax, it’s just a derivation of the “trickle down” effect.

Only, instead of having to wait for the “wealth” (read: taxpayer $$) to “trickle”, they just decided to throw the money as far DOWN (to the lowest of the low) as they could, as quickly as they could.

The fix is in on so many levels its not funny. The Left has got these corporations by the gonads and is squeezing tight. Although, at this point, a lot of these corporations went off the PC deep end years ago. There Left used to talk about the “Military-Industrial” complex; now theere is a “PC-Service” complex. Like Academia before them, corporate American (at least the biggest companies) have now been assimilated.

The Senate Carves $90 Million Out of Stimulus For Liberal Activist Group

"The Leadership Conference on Civil Rights (”LCCR”) is a far left interest group."

"The group opposed conservative judges. The group agitates for card check. The group is in favor of the Fairness Doctrine. It is chiefly an agitator for affirmative action programs and tries to pressure banks into giving high risk loans like those that caused the housing crisis. If you oppose them, they label you a racist."

"LCCR operates like ACORN. And the Senate Democrats are about to give the $90 million of your money.

I'd like to know what they need all this money for!

What the heck is going on?!?

I suspect it is funding for that new organization Obama says should be as well-funded as the military - his civilian corps. (All those jackboots can get pricey!)

The argument that the DEMs will use is... "ACORN might have had some problems, but the do some really good work."

That makes a much sense as saying, "Dennis Rader might have been the BTK killer, but he was a very good dog catcher!"

“need”??? You don’t ask what they “need”
it for. Thats racist. However, when you want
to purchase a firearm then you must explain why
you “need” one. See how it works???

Perhaps their not, however if ACORN was a ship it would list to the port side every time the lines were slackened and capsize if they were left (pun intended) to their own.

In a real world instead of this nightmare we are collectively living. That idiot Polosi would have been run out of town or sitting in a brig with the rest of her corrupt swine and their types.

But alas we are the proud people of the "Flying O"

Bank of America decided to allow illegal immigrants to open accounts some time ago. I've never forgotten that, and I'll never do business with them.
