Kind of strains credibility to accept references to websites like:

being used to make the point in a brief to the SCOTUS! I wonder if any lawyers in the crowd can comment of the “professionalism” of using references to the Internet to base one’s legal arguments upon?
I wonder where people get this idea that "Obama has spent millions" on this. One does not have to spend money to not defend himself in a lawsuit and no Court to date has required him to answer any of the suits brought against him. Has his defense team even had to file any motions in these cases? If so, there should be some public record of the "millions of dollars" that legal work people claim he has spent. Is there even one motion filed by Obama's legal firm in these cases.

The premise is false. He hasn't spent millions, and he has produced the document. The birther mythology isn't about facts.
You're referring to the "professionalism" of the Obama defenders; the internet references being the birth certificate that first appeared on Daily Kos and Factcheck, allegedly sourced from one of Obama's campaign hacks. Correct?

You were told incorrectly. He only needs to be born a citizen. If he's born in the US, his parent's citizenship doesn't matter.

The “Certificate of Live Birth” is a birth certifcate.
Fact: The document produced was altered (redacted cert number
Fact: As stated on the document, any alterations void the cert.
Question: If the document was indeed valid, why would the cert number be redacted?
To verify we did indeed have the correct document, we contacted the Hawaii Department of Health, which maintains such records.
“It’s a valid Hawaii state birth certificate,” spokesman Janice Okubo said June 13, 2008, after we e-mailed her our copy.
The Hawaii Department of Health receives about a dozen e-mail inquiries a day about Obama’s birth certificate, spokesman Okubo said.
“I guess the big issue that’s being raised is the lack of an embossed seal and a signature,” Okubo said, pointing out that in Hawaii, both those things are on the back of the document. “Because they scanned the front … you wouldn’t see those things.”
Okubo says she got a copy of her own birth certificate last year and it is identical to the Obama one we received.
