Ruling grandparents too old, social workers hand brother and sister to gay men for adoption

Two young children are to be adopted by a gay couple, despite the protests of their grandparents. The grandparents first stepped in because the children's mother was unable to look after them. The couple, who cannot be named, wanted to give the five-year-old boy and his four-year-old sister a loving home themselves. But they were ruled to be too old - at 46 and 59. The devastated grandparents were told they would never see the youngsters again unless they dropped their opposition.

Sorry if this has already been posted, but this story is just truly horiffic. The article says "This case, in Edinburgh, raises worrying issues about state interference in family life." Well, no SH_T!! Here you see the ultimate insanity of political correctness. Forced adoption should be here in the US very shortly.

I posted yesterday that the Catholic Church in Scotland, where this is going on, were contacted by a wealthy business tycoon plus other businessmen and attorneys. This group hired a very good law firm in the area who are taking on the council who took the children away. These councils in the UK are like communist cadres.

Dang, my wife and I are both 55. We are adopting my wife's daughter's daughter, who's seven months old. She has been with us since August and the legal adoption process moves slowly, another 6 weeks and we go in front of the judge for final decree. It would get ugly if a judge tried to pull that crap on us.

I don't even consider it "middle-aged"........but that's probably because I'm 48 and my husband is 53 and our only child is 10.

I realize this is the UK, but for crying out loud, this is downright scary.

The grandfather was told by a social worker: 'If you couldn't support the children [in the gay adoption], if you were having contact and couldn't support the children, and were showing negative feelings, it wouldn't be in their best interests for contact to take place.'

Its time for some social workers to be hung by their heels from the nearest lamp post. What went so wrong in Britain? How does the general population stand for this crap?
