"this is an honest mistake, I believe,"

That lawyer speak will keep 0be off the total liar hook. It does however put him on at least either the excessively naive hook or the incompent judge of character hook or both.

Zero is a screw up along with Pelosi and Reid. Our enemies are laughing their rears off and plotting our demise.

When I hear most of the negative comments about Obama regarding his appointments — I can only say, do you really think Obama is that dumb. Why can’t people see, the system is working. These last two appointments were never sworn in — they self destructed. Sure, Obama apologized, being the gentleman he is, but he didn’t have to.

I remember not too long ago when another President admitted he had made mistakes and they hung him out to dry....
I can't watch the news anymore....I literally want to reach in the tv and strangle those idiots.

Admittedly, I am a bit older and possibly subscribe to a stricter linguistic code, but I would sure like it if the President of the United States of America could drop the term "I screwed up" from his vocabulary. What's next? "My bad"? "Mea f'ing culpa"? "I sux"?

A small point, I suppose but to paraphrase GHWB, "a thousand points of debasement...".

Got Reardon Metal?

Is that used in barrels, receivers, bullets or casings?

Webster’s Dictionary on “Screw Up”: 1: one who screws up. 2: BOTCH, BLUNDER . . . to botch an activity or undertaking

Hey, MY president wasn’t given any breaks almost from the day he took office, I intend on treating this one and his brain-dead supporters in the same spirit of “bipartisanship”, yeah, that’ll do it.

“...being the gentleman he is...”?

DEFINITION OF GENTLEMAN
Function: noun
Usage: often attributive
Etymology: Middle English gentilman
Date: 12th century
1 a: a man of noble or gentle birth b: a man belonging to the landed gentry c (1): a man who combines gentle birth or rank with chivalrous qualities (2): a man whose conduct conforms to a high standard of propriety or correct behavior d (1): a man of independent means who does not engage in any occupation or profession for gain (2): a man who does not engage in a menial occupation or in manual labor for gain

Please don’t take this personally, because I suspect you unintentionally do not marry the proper meaning of the word to your actual use of it.

Barack Obama is corrupt to the core, a marxist, socialist, racist radical.

You can call him what you want, but unless being a ‘gentleman’ means listening to and agreeing with people like “Reverend Wright” for 20 years, using “Rules for Radicals” as your personal Bible, associating with people who think it is wonderful to stick a fork in the dead body of a brutally murdered pregnant woman or steering our country and all of us with it towards socialism and the resulting third world economy and the misery that is going to result from it, then I suggest you use phrases like “...being the politically expedient person he is...” or “...being the dummy he is...” or even “...being the corrupt thug he is...”

But I would take extreme umbrage at the use of the word ‘gentleman’ to describe him in any way. As a man who tries (not always successfully living up to the definition) to be a gentleman, I would prefer not to have a goal I strive towards sullied by awarding it to an incredibly corrupt person like Barak Obama.

"O: this is an honest mistake, I believe, on Tom’s part."

If this is an "honest mistake", M'Lord, why don't you show some leadership and explain it to the public? If not, why don't you 'fess up and admit he's a crook? It can't be both an "honest mistake" as well as a reason for quitting

It isn't easy to parse his answer, but he seems to be apologizing for not recognizing that it would look bad to some people--as if he picked the right man but narrow-minded people failed to appreciate Daschle's merits because of this issue.

Can Daschle put a stop payment on the check for the back taxes--now that he's not going to be in the Cabinet, why pay them?

He should have Daschle, Geithner and Rangel apologize to Steve Martin for ripping off his line, “I Forgot.”

The line they did NOT steal from Steve Martin is "Well, EXCUUUUUUSE ME!", meaning, they need to be excused from office.

"Can Daschle put a stop payment on the check..."

Now there's a plan. Perhaps I can file my extension and send in a check, then put a stop payment on it and then issue another one with the correct amount (minus penalty and interest) in October?

Litte Tommy D has a complete conflict of interest, since he has been in the pay of health care companies for a number of years.

How many lobbyists are now thru and thru the NObama administration?

They are everywhere!!!!

NObama is a puppet of Soros and others.
Guess those puppet masters are not always available for answers when the teleprompter isn’t right there.
