Both Daschle and Geithner, paid their penalties and back taxes. They are now, while certainly not convicted, at least admitted felons, and should be treated as such.

My analogy: If I intentionally shoot someone and they die, but I have second thoughts and revive them, I still should at least go to jail for trying to kill them. I shouldn't get to say "Oops, it was a mistake", I'll just pay the guy's hospital bills", and then get handed a lucrative new job in charge of catching people who shoot each other.

What? You mean in this new era of ‘responsibility’, we should actually ask these folks to take responsibility for their actions?
