Well, he could fire the agents. But he won’t.

The president believes that federal resources should not be used to circumvent state laws

You mean like laws forbidding gun registration?

The president believes that federal resources should not be used to circumvent state laws...

Got to keep that quote around for future use to bludgeon the Demo/Commies when he contradicts himself on a states' rights issue or two... So, ODumbo, what do you think about the way that the Tenth Amendment is being abused by the Congress? And what do you think about Real ID? And what are your thoughts about the Feds essentially blackmailing states into making seatbelt laws a primary offense that can lead to motor vehicle stops, etc. etc.

Reasons for cannabis being made illegal:

* Racism (number one reason)
* Fear
* Protection of Corporate Profits
* Yellow Journalism (certainly not in the USA)
* Ignorant, Incompetent, and/or Corrupt Legislators (no way!)
* Personal Career Advancement and Greed

This is the right thing for him to do. It is ridiculous when a state says “we want medical marijuana” and then the Fed steps all over the their decision because the Feds think they know better.

Campaigning in Seattle on Saturday, Bush answered questions about medical marijuana laws by saying, "I believe each state can choose that decision as they so choose."

This is a bit off subject, but an interesting tid bit I heard on the news last night:

We’ve often thought people were making big bucks working with drug cartels.

The investigator that tried to expose Bernie Madoff explained.

Some of Madoff’s money “came from the Russian mob and the Latin American drug cartels,” Markopolos explained. “If he would have known my name and he knew that we had a team tracking him, I didn’t think I was long for this world.”
