Frustrated Senate Democratic leaders dispensed with calls for bipartisanship on the stimulus package Thursday, with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid saying that he won't let anyone "hold the president of the United States hostage."
President Barack Obama had once hoped to have the package pass with substantial Republican support. But Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said that's now a “distant memory."
"So far," he said, bipartisanship "isn't working."
But in an interview with Politico, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said that the Democrats - not the Republicans - have made a mockery of bipartisanship.
“Senators are in a panic – this bill is stinking up the place,” Graham said – then accused Obama of being “AWOL” in the stimulus discussions.

Thats right Obama and the boys are going on retreat to Williamsburg Obama is flying down in the luxurious Air Force One on a trip that the Presidential Helicopter copuld easilt make in an hour, all the Dems are taking a special chartered Amtrak train down, that way no one gets a DUI on the way down. Any business they do in Williamsburg could easily be dine right in Washington.

“You vote for our proposals and our nominees, and we won’t change the rules to eliminate filibusters. This doesn’t mean we won’t hold up your appointments if you ever get in power again, because we work for the people (and the children).”
You really have to laugh at these attempts to get Republican suckers to sign up to these excrement they are trying to pass. And it’s funny because they are trying to act as if they need Republican votes with this thing when they don’t want to draw attention to their disastrous control of all branches of gov’t and who the people can ‘thank’ when the effects of their policies hits home. The Demonrats are really a bunch of wicked souls who are going to deserve the hate directed their way when reality sets in.
