I'd start of my shopping list with the following items:
1. Beef up the order for the F-22 fighters from the paltry 183 to 1200. This airplane creates REAL JOBS in all states and its handy in an ever more dangerous world esp since our aircraft's are being worn out very fast!!
2. Order more heavy lift aircraft's for the Military Airlift Command. C-5s, C-130's etc.
3. Go all out on SDI (Star Wars) and militarize space and have a ring of at least 900 missile interceptors stationed all around the USA. We don't need to wait long esp since China already has space weapons in place ready to deploy.
4. Convert from the .223 rifles and 9mm pistols to weapons that has real killing power. As experience in Iraq has shown these existing weapons while it can deter and drop down an enemy it still lacking in full killing power. I'd like to kick the @$$ of that idiot that made the change from the .45 pistol to the 9mm.
5. Research & deploy modern nukes. Those old 30+ year old ones on the missiles are slowing decaying and while the world (Russia, China, N.Korea, Iran and everyone else) is developing new nuclear weapons we're sitting on old & aging stuff. Also forget about negotiating for a new Nuclear Treaty with the Russians esp since they have a record of cheating & stealing on treaties.
