To: Protect the Bill of Rights

Are you talking about the civil rights marches? They did tear a hole in the fabric of this country... I remember them vividly.

I am thinking of the era of the Hippie. Peace, Love & Rock & Roll, Acid, SDS, Weather Underground, Kent State. Make Love, Not War. Blah, blah, blah.

Every neighborhood had more than 1 family whose kid took off for parts unknown. The parents didn’t know how to handle this new type of rebellion. They countered it with anger.

Bill Ayers liked to say “Kill all the parents.” (or something like that) But there was a very real hatred of anyone older than 30.

I liked the music, the beads and fringe, and since I hated a bra more than you would know my everyday wordrobe consisted of levis, halter and a levi workshirt. But I drew the line at not shaving my legs or under my arms. That was just so gross.
