Give them credit if you want but they sure didn't seem to put up much of a fight to stop these 3 RINOs.

Exactly right. Don't call yourself a republican unless you abide by conservative principles. Sick of politicians playing the public like fools.

re: Compromise bill is $828B which is more then the House version

Since the Senate passed their own version the bill now has to go to reconciliation. That means a committee will have to decide what to scrap and what to keep from each version of the bills. Then the committee version has to go back for a vote in both houses. Let's see, if they pass it, what happens with the stock market, and what the administration puts forth on Monday as their newest economic plan.

A lot can happen in the several days it will take to get this thing finally on the President's desk.

The problem is that 5% of senators plus 0% of repubs in the house will equal ‘bipartisan’, and also equal ‘50% of the blame’ to the dems and media when this sh1t hits the fan and takes the country down the crapper.

I hope she’s happy. The democrats are already making it clear that this was a BIPARTISAN effort and that SEVERAL REPUBLICANS voted to get this out of committee and onto the floor.

Get used to these defections....WAIT until the USSC vacancies are to be filled....there’s NO WAY to stop the Democrats from placing the most liberal leftist loonies on the USSC when they only need two or three defectors from the “Republican” Party to vote with them to prevent a fillibuster.

Come on Toby. I know that you are better than this. All Republicans in the House and all but two Republicans in the Senate voted against this disastrous bill. Come on guys, give the credit where the credit is due. We need to stand together and we need to thank the Republicans for standing strong, principled and Patriotic against this welfare and pork bill.

This is very mis-leading title. Only two Republican Senators, Specter and Collins, have come out in support of a compromise. The Republican leadership and all other Republicans are standing firm against the “stimulus”. A better title would have been “Rogue Moderate Republican Senators...” There is speculation that one other Republican Senator may vote for it, but the democrats are flying Kennedy back from Florida so they have the 60 votes. This was NOT a bi-partisan agreement.

Mary Landrieu was just on Van Sustren repeating over and over that it was a bipartisn bill.

*We can thank the RNC*

AS of a few days ago we now have a conservative who was elected, former Lt. Gov. Michael Steele.
He has already kicked out the RNC workers, staff, etc.
He is starting New.

“The American people want us to work together. They don’t want to see us dividing along partisan lines on the most serious crisis confronting our country,”

That is a sickening statement.

She’s a bald faced liar. I’ve been watching the Senate for the past two days.

It doesn't matter how many RINOs voted for it or Republicans against it because all it took was two and the two stepped forward. The GOP is not needed, they are impotent with these “moderates” setting the agenda.

The American people want you to go on a 9 month vacation and take the Boy President with you. These politicians are so full of hubris they think they are the answer to every problem. Congressional egos are the most expensive commodity in this country despite what Rush might say.

and say what you want about Lindsey Graham but just saw him mins. ago on Greta, he is pissed and has been on a
charge including on the floor of the Senate.

In fact, over the last 45 minutes tonight the Republicans had probably 8 Senators speak (allocated by McCain) and all of them vehemently opposed the bill and at least 4 or 5 of them specifically pointed out that there is no way the bill could be characterized as bi-partisan.

These Senators are not rogue and they are not moderates, they are plain and simple RINOs (Republican In Name Only) or another name Liberals.
