I've been laying out the same basic scenario since Nov 5th.

Communists need to have a visible enemy to focus the rage of the Sheeple.

That is why it is so important that we protect the Second Amendment at all costs.

Communists need to have a visible enemy to focus the rage of the Sheeple.

That's right. But they don't have to follow through and I'd bet my house they won't. It's all propaganda and it's even better for them if the corrupt dems play it out as long as possible, keeping the threat alive and in the news rags and stirring up the sheeple. Demonize, demonize, demonize.

Straight out of the marxist playbook.

If anyone doubts this will happen, look how quickly Obami dumped the Hopey Changey stuff in place of the FEAR! stuff, the talk of bipartisanship with “I won,” and the “changing the tone” thing with the jabs at Republicans.

This is very true. They are taking a page from the Latin American leftist playbook (notice the reference to Pinochet).

There’s a show trial of the former president of Bolivia going on in Bolivia right now, although fortunately the man had the common sense to flee and they can’t get him at the moment. But the political pressure on the part of the radical leftist government of Evo Morales actually has gotten so extreme that even some of the judges have resigned. Infighting has broken out.

Like Morales, I think Obama may overplay his hand here; but then, that’s usually what brings down a dictator.

However, it’s going to get really ugly for awhile.

Surprised about Turley being such a tool. I knew he leaned left, but he always appeared to at least make an appearance of being rational.

we cannot let the politicizing of, for example, the Justice Department, go unreviewed.

The fact that Obama is following Bush's policies in terms of bailouts, Iraq, etc. shows that while Bush did things I disagree with, he was acting in good faith, and Obama has little choice but to behave as Bush did.

So he will have to draw the line between himself and Bush.

Much of what Obama has done since the inauguration shows that liberals are hypocrites for giving Obama a pass on things Bush did. They, too, want to label Bush forever, so even if historians ultimately are kind to him, they will still be forced to label him a criminal, ala Nixon. (Libs would have little choice but to praise Nixon for China, his environmental policies, his social policies--Nixon being no conservative--were it not for Watergate.)

I don't even think this is up for debate: Obama will prosecute Bush, and be shaking his head and regretting the horror of it all while he pushes his DOJ to do it.

And don't forget his intense interest in showing the rest of the world he's their president, too. I wouldn't be surprised if indeed he did put Bush on trial at the Hague.

“Holder will prosecute President Bush and other officials for condoning it.”

Nope. I don’t believe this. The radical ignoramuses of the Democrat party would like to do this, but I very much doubt it will happen.

As much as Bush has been vilified, I do not believe that the American people would be too happy to see an endless show trial that would just serve to further divide the country. Despite this being a liberal’s wet dream, Obama should be smart enough to pull the plug on the notion of trying Bush and Cheney. This trial could also backfire if the US is attacked again by Islamic fascists during the midst of it, as it would clearly show that Obama’s” let’s be nice to the terrorists” policy isn’t keeping America safe.

They are initiating the purges that we should have initiated on them. Schoolyard rules are in effect, they just took our lunch money. Do we fight back against these thugs or simply let them rule the schoolyard?

Anyone who doesn't believe that Democrat operatives weren't scouring every available Bush Administration and DoD file for "evidence" on Obama Inauguration day need only consider that one of Obama's first acts was to make it even easier access Presidential records (of former Presidents that is). And any conservative historian or conspiracy theorist who thinks that this EO will give them instant access to the records stored in the "Clinton Presidential Library and Massage Parlor" need only consider that Sandy Berger, whose unstated role in the "9-11 Commission" proceedings was clearly the removal of any file that might embarrass Arkansas' favorite son, has had his security clearance restored.
