You’re going to be disappointed rather than consoled. It will never be his fault. Gear up for it. They will do the FDR routine on him: “at least he’s doing something while those mean Republicans obstruct his every move. Our Great Leader valiantly fights on, doing, doing, doing, doing, doing, doing, doing, doing, doing and doing some more. Ain’t he just great?”

We need to be clearsighted about this. They will use the ever-deepening depression and rising unemployment to their advantage. They will not get the blame for it. They will galvanize the nation to entrust even more of the economy to the government.

Unless the promise of the New Media finally comes to pass and the New Media channels of information can overcome the Old Media. That’s the battle we’re in. It could go either way.

Yes, but Great Leaders and Great Fuehrers do. He’s a demagogue and we should not be surprised at the trappings of demagoguery surrounding a demagogue.

They attended a racist church, worked almost exclusively for blacks in their respective professions, associated with blacks at college, wrote about race during their education stints, and rejected Barack’s white relatives. I think we might suspect a tinge of racism there.

Speaking of that, read the article that the Dailymail.co.uk has about BO’s stepmother and his “unique” roots: “’I was there for two weeks and stayed at the Grand Hyatt Hotel,’ she says. ‘Afterwards, we went to his inauguration dinner. It was simple and special - a family affair.’”

“Bingo with Barack Obama’s stepmother: White Housey House!”

Mother-in-law? Do the Brits call mothers-in-law “step-mothers” or is this reporter bonkers?

We need to be clearsighted about this. They will use the ever-deepening depression........

Clear-sighted? Let's start by being accurate about the situation...we are not experiencing a depression, not even close.

He’s just trying to further his image of Lincoln.

In case you didn’t notice, “will-use” was future tense. Granted, the porkulus may not result in a Depression. Hoover’s did but things could go differently this time.

But on the assumption that it will, for which the odds are at least even, then they will use it in the way I described.

So we disagree in our prognistications about the effects of the Porkulus. No hard feelings?

How many families does the presidential family really get to hang with anyway? It’s not like they even get to hang out.

“I believe he worked last weekend so one night I guess is ok to take off. Hopefully he is working more than 40 hours a week like most Americans.”

B.S. People are freezing their asses off in Kentucky and other areas of the country while he enjoys himself in a cozy atmosphere with family and friends. I can’t wait to see if the press is going to assail him when he goes on vacation. They sure beat President Bush up for that.

All of Zero’s white friends are terrorists like Ayers and thieves like Soros, Rezko and Blago.

Something in the Whitehouse seems to be haunting Obama. He knows he doesn’t belong there.

That's a great point. Stalked day and night by angry ghosts of presidents past.

Too bad he keeps going back. Maybe Lincoln is smacking Zero upside the head every night with that big black hat. And George Washington keeps repeating a nightmarish vision, saying, "Son of Kenya, look and learn."

“He’s just trying to further his image of Lincoln.”

Let’s all send him theatre tickets! Is Ford’s Theatre still in existence?
