Thanks for proving my point: You are an inconsistent hypocrite.

By your stated standards Kerry, Biden and Obama are supremely intelligent and qualified because of their Ivy League credentials.

You still stand with your previous remarks?

As I said earlier, I’d be more than happy to get behind another economist from Eureka. Got one?

For the life of me I can’t understand the vitriol that many of you spew towards anyone who isn’t crazy about Palin. Palin worship is really starting to remind me of the Obama worship we see left of the aisle.

Sarah Palin excites conservatives because she is principled, intelligent, articlulate, honest, and has a proven track record of accomplishment. If she won't do, could you suggest a better candidate?

“Hear, hear. Now you are backtracking. If Palin is so stupid and bad at communication, how can she be such a masterful deceiver! At the one moment she is a dummy, at the next an evil genius! Astounding! Magnificent!’

I like your way with words, did you ever think of a career in politics?!

Right now, I’m really liking Bobby Jindal out of Louisiana. If you’re looking for a principled conservative, surely you can’t have any truck with Jindal. His conservative credentials are there, he seems to be a natural leader, and I’m convinced that he’s absolutely brilliant. The total package.

What does it have to do with Palin? You repeatedly said that you prefer those with "top education credentials". You also said that you can't name one superbly educated idiot. I gave you the names of five proven lunatics/idiots/madman who are academia/Ivy League educated (there are thousands more of them), yet you still stand by your remarks and try to divert to Palin again.

You don't think the fellas I named are criminally dangerous and naive fools?

Jindal is a rising star and definitely sounds like a good choice.

That requires two answers: Yes on dangerous but no on naive.

And, just to clarify, my reply concerning education stems from SeOhio’s claim that the smartest people he’s met have been high school dropouts, and the most ignorant people he’s met have had college educations.

That doesn’t match my experiences at all. As a matter of fact, I would go so far to say that EVERY illiterate person I’ve ever met has been a high school drop out. I’m certain that there truly illiterate people who’ve graduated high school, but I think we both know that taken as a whole, you’ll find a much higher incidence of illiteracy in the drop out group than the group of graduates.

And yes, I unabashedly admit that I prefer the best and the brightest in positions of leadership. I don’t think a candidate needs to have graduated with honors, but it sure doesn’t hurt.

What this all boils down to is that I’m not at all convinced that Sarah Palin is smart enough to run my country. You obviously differ. Why, I’m not sure.

Palin is a college graduate, what about your theory now?

I judge a presidential candidate's qualifications not on his educational background alone, but on his entire curriculum vitae. Sarah Palin may not have gone to Oxford or Harvard, but she's gained practical experience by starting her political career at the bottom and coming up through the ranks, and she's done a good job running the Big State.

Not aimed at you, but Biden is NOT an Ivy league guy. He went to the University of Delaware and then to Syracuse for his law degree.
