These awesome things you can still legally own in this great country of ours are:
#7: Flamethrowers
#6: Salvia Divinorum (mild hallucinogenic drug)
#5: Tannerite (two-component explosive)
#4: Homemade weapons
#3: Guides by Ragnar Benson (mercenary survivalist)

Sure, if you build it yourself.
Or if you have certain clearances (specifically a lot of money), I suppose you might be able to buy a working antique and some cannonballs to go with it.

Why, when there are cool secrets, does some jerk put them out there for the whole world to see? Spoils all the fun for us! Someone puts there eye out, and then they ban the stuff!

The BATF says potato guns are illegal, or unlawful. Can’t remember which .....

Cannons can be purchased new with ATF license and there are some shooting matches with them. Gatling guns are legal as long as they are not motorized. Pull the trigger once and fire once is legal. Machine Guns are legal with expensive ATF license. It is also legal for ATF to steal your guns. NOLA police can steal your guns. Heck, IRS can steal all your property.

Yeah, well, if you happen to have $8k lying around that you don’t feel like saving against this upcoming economic catastrophe, more power to you.
Heck, if I could make that kind of money selling cannons, I’d be wanting to get into the business myself.

I was at a gun show in Georgia, in fact helping a dealer out for a few minutes when he sold a Tommy Gun to a guy for $2000 plus the licensing fees. The guy paid with a credit card.
Of course he couldn’t take delivery until the paperwork was approved. I don’t know how long it took until the guy actually got the gun but it didn’t take all that long to complete the paperwork.

...a Tommy Gun... for $2000 plus the licensing fees... That must have been quite a few years ago! Thompsons go for a lot more than that today...

It was around 1995 and I thought it was a little cheap but with the tax being levied each time one is transferred the price will eventually get sky high.

#3: Guides by Ragnar Benson (mercenary survivalist)When the hippies were stumbling through the streets in the Sixties, there were numerous Power to the People books: "Steal This Book" by Abbie Hoffman, "The Anarchist's Cookbook," etc.. The lunatic fringe babbled endlessly about how they were written to celebrate the freedom of speech, and how "the Man" was bent on censoring them to shut up "the Resistance" blah blah blah.
Fast forward 40 years and those same unwashed hypocrites are now demanding that the government ("the Man") silence Rush Limbaugh and censor survivalist guides by right-wingers.
Every time a leftist looks in the mirror, two faces stare back at him.

It is quite legal to own a cannon. My brother has one. Ok he's a civil war reenacter and it needs to be pulled by horses. But as he says, who's going to tell a guy with his own cannon he can't have it?

Lame list. Lousy research.
You CAN man a 155mm howitzer. Last I saw one was going for $125,000 plus $200 tax.
Prostitution IS legal - at least in NV. Reasonable licensing & testing applies.
Meth may not be legal, but plenty of drugs are.
And yes .50BMGs are legal - just like any rifle.
Your jurisdiction may vary. If it sucks, leave. I did.
