We’ve got 3000 American soliders getting ready to replace 300 British soldiers in Southern Afghan... and Afghan is still controlled by NATO... no this isn’t LBJ all over again it is his (and his ilks) wet dream........

Rhetoric meets reality. The reactionary Democrat talking point for the last six years has been that the “real” war on terror is in Afghanistan despite Bin Laden’s making Iraq the centerpiece of the struggle after the U.S. invasion.

The Democrats’ strategy has been to abandon Iraq which is headed for 5 million barrels per day oil production in a few years and a showcase for Middle East democracy. Iraq can become a vital U.S. trading partner. Sadly, Afghanistan's chief export is opium products.
