One of President Barack Obama's top economic advisers forecast Sunday a difficult struggle with Congress over Senate cuts of $40 billion for state and local governments from the administration's massive spending and tax cut package to stimulate the failing economy.

The $827 billion Senate version of the plan — designed to bring the economy out of the worst downward spiral since the Great Depression — was expected to pass the Senate on Tuesday. The House had already passed its $819 billion version of the measure.

Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., the chairman of the Banking Committee, chided Republicans for ignoring the outcome of the November election.

"We had an election last year which had pretty decisive results in the White House, the Senate and the House. And it did say that public spending for improved infrastructure, to keep bridges from crumbling, to keep cops and firefighters working is a good thing," Frank said.

People knew McCain was going to lose and voted for him anyway. We knew democrats would control both the house and senate but we voted for republicans anyway. We didn't vote for them to go along with your porkbarrel spending. This isn't about cops and firefighters. This isn't about roads and bridges. This is about saying no to non-stimulus pork spending.

Who in congress has asked these two question:

1. “How are we going to pay for this monster give away program???”

2. “Who is going to pay for this monster give away program???”

Oh Barney put in back in your pants. Of the eligible voters in America approximately 27 percent voted for Barack Obama.
That is hardly a landslide or mandate or anything else.

Frank’s theory might have a jigger more validity if Dims had actually campaigned on the idea of passing a nearly trillion dollar spending bill to stimulate the economy.

But if they had, we could have had this public debate in August, September, and October, rather than now.

Wait, maybe that’s why they didn’t campaign on it back then. Do you think?

;-)

This is the easiest way, using existing laws and processes, to redistribute wealth and shore up the Democrat Party so that it can never be defeated.

I heard the 2002 radio interview where our new president said that he saw a flaw in our constitution- it did not have a mechanism for wealth redistribution. He also thought the Supremes, in Brown vs Board Of Education, should have written in wealth redistribution.

So now we have huge spending bills that take FUTURE taxes and redistribute them to Planned Parenthood, CDC Gay programs, ACORN, giant corporations that return billions in campaign contributions, and spread money around to achieve social justice. And we’d better pass them right now or we are all doomed!

We must stop this blatant Marxist plan.

Congress has approved spending for 2 years. Shouldn’t they be blamed for the problems? Now they want to cause more problems for the country with their out of control spending.

It’s not just Republicans. Many Dems that I know are outraged and do NOT want this to pass.

We can put pressure, but may not be able to stop them until 2010' or 2012'.

So do we take the "funny money" checks and put them in CD's for true conservatives in 2010' or wait until 2012' and buy 3 year CD's i.e. "CD's for Sarah"?...

No one really believes that spending TRILLIONS of dollars is what the economy really needs.

Obama will ask for trillion after trillion after trillion. He will push to spend a MILLION DOLLARS PER CAPITA.

Obama’s PURPOSE is to destroy the dollar, destroy what’s left of the credit of the U.S., and ultimately to BRING THE UNITED STATES TO AN END. The Democratic Party has murdered over 50 million Americans already. It is as anti-American as Lenin, Stalin, Khrushchev, and Brezhnev ever dreamed of being.

Any political discourse that ignores the fact that an anti-American Communist is in the White House, working day and night to bring about the dissolution of the United States, is nothing but idle chatter.

Any radio talk show host or TV commentator who still doesn’t understand that Obama and his whole party are working to BRING THE UNITED STATES TO AN END is not worth listening to. He or she is merely yammering, filling up time on the air to make a buck.

Obama is Mugabe. He WANTS the U.S. to be Zimbabwe.

DOESN’T ANYBODY GET IT ?????

"... was expected to pass the Senate on Tuesday. The House had already passed its $819 billion version of the measure."

There is the old saying that the two things you don't want to see made are laws and sausages.

The House passed the "porkulus". The Senate will pass a "fatted cow". Then the "pig" and the "cow" will go to a "conference committee", AKA "the sausage factory". No one but those in the room will see "the sausage" being made, but everyone in America will be eating it, even unborn generations of Americans. God help us!

There’s a reason Obama and his minions keep referring to this and TARP (aka Trap) as “downpayments”. It’s only the beginning and they want us mentally prepared for furthere bailouts for their friends.
