I absolutely agree. I used the term accident meaning ‘as opposed to intentional’. From a legal perspective, he absolutely is criminally responsible for her death and it was a negligent, reckless act. But in my opinion he no more meant to cause her death than if he had been driving 120 MPH ‘pretending’ to be racing and killed her in a wreck.
Stupid. But you’re are right, stupidity or lack of intent does not absolve negligence.

Yeah,, the shooting school culture changed “Accidental discharge”, into “Negligent Discharge”. Sorta like illegal alien turned into undocumented immigrant. Still talking about the same thing, but just started using a different word. Like the way “Commandos” became “Operators”. My mom was an Operator back in the 40s. Used to say “Number please” and connect your call.
PC Lingo sometimes invades our side too.
