What are you talking about?
Got it. I missed your quotes and attritted it to you. Sorry. I usually italicize what others write.
“what the hey is a Patronage system?”
<<<Form of state government used in State of Illinois which is why some politicians were inquiring about State of IL applying for bankrkuptcy (can’t) Very much good-ol-boys system of people in power rewarding supports (patrons)with jobs because they can—not because people are qualified or jobs are needed...sort of opp. of civil service jobs?!
What is your definition of "the mark of the beast"?
No problem.
I type fast and was multi-posting so I didn’t want to take the time for the html.
:)
Common descriptive word in the 19th century. It means an ignoble or arrant coward; a dastard; a craven; a mean-spirited wretch; Cowardly.
I just love the way it trips off the tongue.
Must read, must act.
“Once the Fed goes bankrupt and can not dictate to the States, they will have to take care of themselves”
Is that when the “tar n’ feathering” begins?
It’s how things work in the City of Chicago.
Pay to play, you might call it.
You want a position with the city? You pay the right person, and maybe you can get it.
Some thugs invaded my farm about ten years ago to steal. I am by myself and went quite ballistic...Since then, perimeter security has become a source of amusement and quite a hobby for me. You can be very effective with low investment if you are real creative. Clint Eastwood, The Outlaw Josey Wales, “Sometimes you gotta get mean. Real mean”.
Care to fill us in? Some of that might be good to know.
I need me a good outside watchdog is what I need now. We have 2 dogs but they are inside dogs. One does a good job of guarding the place if he is outside. The other one is kind of a softy.
mark of the beast? cannot buy or sell, work for wages, without the mark...selling your soul to sustain your standard of living
How is it implemented? Can you give any details?
I am afraid of what they could do to us in those circumstances.
Tax our wells: water belongs to everyone
In some places, wells are metered by the county
Tax our septic: you might cause pollution
In some places, there are proposed septic inspection ordinances, with fees
Tax our wood stoves: air pollution
Newer stoves have catalytic converters and EPA standards must be met.
How about a tax on garden supplies and seeds? After all, in some places, food has a sales tax. How about tightening standards on small butchering plants? They closed most of the small cheese factories and butchers that sell and butcher on the same premises in my area, already. You cannot sell milk from the bulk tank and haven’t been able to for over 25 years.
FDR had agents go out to farms and slaughter pigs and beef to raise the price so city sellers could make a living. I think at one point they did something similar to raise the price of wheat.
I’ve already seen financial articles that talk about savings using the term *hoarding* cash. How far a jump is it to call food stores *hoarding*?
Let’s not even talk about all the plans they have tried/are trying to limit ammo or define where you can legally carry.
How much square footage per person do you have? How many buildings? How does that compare with what people have in cities? Shouldn’t it be equal? After all, state property taxes are based on *equalized valuation* of square footage, regardless of location, already.
They can control us, if they want to, all for the benefit of their clients in the cities. They are collectivists, after all. They collect from us to buy their continuing power from those who can’t produce for themselves.
Just a little more help for anyone interested in starving the beast...I spotted these on eBay. I’d pick one of these over supporting the Detroit unions ANY DAY:
Why aren’t I bidding? Who says I don’t already have one ;)
And its not just the big contracts...I live in Cook County. It’s the “little people” who keep voting these Dem crooks back into office. I’ve had people tell me we are better off with a one party system—fewer crooks stealing from the taxpayers. They love the patronage jobs they have. Ten people hired to do the work of two—and usually two work while the other eight collect a paycheck. Despite the high taxes and outrageous user fees, they figure they are ahead of the game if they get their cost of living increase in pay for the year. Church-going Catholics vote for pro-abortion Dems. The pork bill will be bringing these jobs to the rest of the country—making them loyal lifelong Democrat voters. No wonder I heard Bob Brinker, talk show host, call it the “Trojan Horse Bill.”
Detail of video:
“”I was told by democratic officials in that meeting, that we were going to get billions of dollars that was gonna come down the pike our way, and we’re gonna build an army (bigger than the US army) of democratic patronage jobs, that is going to completely freeze off the republicans for ever and ever”
2/6/09 - This was a live caller to the Savage Nation - Michael Savage, Host
Thanks for the ping. I heard it earlier and am not a bit suprised. I wonder how we fight such a legend of looters?
Galt’s Gulch?
Sounds to me like these assclowns want a war.
They seem to be daring people, almost begging for it. Very scary times indeed.
