Anyone in Saudi Arabia looking to shower a loved one with Valentines Day gifts better be ready to break the law and shell out serious cash.
Religious police in the Arab country are banning the sale of any gifts related to the romantic holiday, driving up black market prices for offerings like the ever-popular red rose, according to BBC News.

Uh, it is SAINT VALENTINE’S Day. As in, it is a Christian holiday.
One would think it logical that Moslem authorities wouldn’t be happy about it (though, of course, they tend to take things to the extreme, as is par for the course for them).
What? Does Valentines Day compete with “Islamic treat a woman like a dog day” or something?

I have the best girlfriend in the whole world. She asked if we were going out to eat on Valentines Day and I told her there’s now way I’d go out in that madness, but I would take her to the Gun show with me. She’s all for that!
I think Islam would be a peaceful religion if the woman all looked like that!
I suppose giving roses in these countries might become more acceptable if they were given to favorite goats or child sex partners of either sex.
