Parties Now Neck-and-Neck on Generic Congressional Ballot
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 02/11/2009 | Scott Rasmussen

Are Republicans winning the public relations battle over spending in the $800-billion-plus economic stimulus package? Democrats and Republicans are nearly even in this week's edition of the Generic Congressional Ballot.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone surveys found that the Democrats’ lead is down to just one percentage point. Forty percent (40%) of voters said they would vote for their district’s Democratic candidate while 39% said they would choose the Republican (see crosstabs).

“Parties Now Neck-and-Neck on Generic Congressional Ballot”

As recent history has shown, nothing destroys a congressional majority quite like a POTUS of the same party as the majority screwing up by the numbers.

Also interesting (from article):

This marks the lowest level of support for the Democrats in tracking history and is the closest the two parties have been on the generic ballot.

This really did take less time than I had thought.

Let's see if the Republicans can hold the line for two years.

Exactly...about 3 months too late!! People are so blind it amazes me. I guess I should not be surprised, the Bible says over and over how people will be mislead in believing lies over the truth.

Sad...very sad!

I got some land in Florida real cheap....obama supporters, your SO stupid!

Typical idiots of this country. They want to buy into the great Demonrat myth, then keep voting to tax and spend. The Demonrats ruin every state and now federal gov’t they obtain power. And it is going to be too little, too late for these suckers. This election was a turning point of no return as far as I’m concerned.

Given that the polsters overweight their numbers with demonrats, it is looking very well for patriotism and capitalism.

Frankly, that`s shocking.

Socialism/neo-marxism is being constructed and hoisted on the now former Constitutional Republic and YET generic ballots are split nearly 50/50 ! ?

When half of the USA is STILL in favor of socialism/ne-marxism that tells you it`s the beginning of the end of the Constitutional Republic of the USA.

The USA is f****d.

" Let's see if the Republicans can hold the line for two years."

If the Dems get their immigration/amnesty bill passed... we are screwed!

Rasmussen poll (year 2010): A sample of 1000 Americans cannot find anyone who admits to voting for Obama.

If we take back the House of Representatives in 2010 it would be sweet indeed. The first-time voters would stay home in droves and we might win back lots of state legislators.
