The Senate has passed an $838 billion economic stimulus package with a vote of 61-37. The Senate bill as it stands allows for the hiring of illegal aliens. The House and Senate will now confer to come up with a unified proposal that will then need approval from both the House and Senate before being sent to the President.
Both the Senate Democrats and Republicans have named their conferees, which is likely to begin this afternoon. Senate Democrats appointed Appropriations Chairman Daniel Inouye, Finance Chairman Max Baucus and Majority Leader Reid as conferees. Republicans chose Appropriations ranking member Thad Cochran and Senate Finance ranking member Charles Grassley.
House conferees are expected to be named later today.
If you have a Senator on the Appropriations or Finance committees or a House Member on the Appropriations or Ways and Means committees, you have a phone note on your Action Buffet. Everyone can fax their Senators and tell them how disappointed you are in the Senate version of the bill that allows the hiring illegal aliens.
for me, there are no words to describe how i feel.
at least words i can repeat.
Sorry to type this, but does this surprise you? what are we going to do about this?
I am fed up with hearing this stuff...it just depresses me. I think i will have to live in denial for a while to get my blood pressure to normal...if that’s possible.
The least the three RINO turncoats could have done is trade their vote for provisions that illegals will be barred from benefiting from the Stimulus money and that no Stimulus money would go to ACORN.
But Nooooooooo........
This is dated the 10th...
Good, more unemployed Americans to join the revolution!
Damn sure cant be having those evil horrid White Males having a job..
Illegals will be the only ones that will want to work since they can’t get all the Obama goodies and sit on their butts all day.... oh wait.
All I see is illegals working on construction jobs. I passed our county Court House/Sheriff’s office yesterday where there are several large projects going on - everyone I saw wearing a hard hat was an illegal.... they don’t even try to hide anymore.
SFB Senate.
It is all about votes and power folks. The DemoRATS keep building their voting army for 2010 and 2012. Fear not, they are also importing other foreigners as well to America to serve as DemoRAT voters.
Again, it is all about POWER AND CONTROL. Be DAMNED with America — to paraphrase a highly-respected reverend friend of Obama.
How absolutely disgusting!
Sadly I’ve come to expect this behavior from our illustrious leaders :{
I’d like to take these jerks ice fishing...

Oh good grief, cut the drama, it is still against the law to hire an illegal alien for any U.S. job. While it would have been great if they had included it, not including the use of the E-verify system does not negate that fact, therefore your headline is disengenuous. As for the stimulus plan, it just sucks in general.
I belong to NumbersUSA and the actual eMail (with the final update) is dated -
IT’S FINAL — Stimulus Jobs Have to be Shared with Illegal Aliens — Banks Can Replace U.S. Workers
From: Roy Beck, President, NumbersUSA
Date: Wednesday 11 FEB 09 10 p.m. EST
That fact that’s its against the law does not stop the hiring of illegals, however mandating the use of e-Verify would eliminate the excuse ‘I didn’t know’
Bush signed an EO mandating it for FedGov employees and contractors, but implementation got delayed until Obummer can review the policy. However, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Rhode Island currently require E-Verify for all employers, so it can be enacted at the state level. Contact your State officials and demand it.
Thanks for the info.
I live in the socialist state of NJ, which is infested with illegals (from landscaping to construction to IT, engineering, and medicine). However, I believe I in being a polite (I hope) squeaky wheel. Sometimes it works.
