If so, that has to cost tens of thousands of $ per flight hour.

If I recall correctly, it’s a 767, one of the Presidential fleet. Bush used it a lot to save money, as it cost less than the 747-based AF1. He also used some of the smaller planes (Gulfstream?) for the same reasons.
