February 13, 2009 Good News! Specter's numbers tanking in PA

Rick Moran

Some good news to start off your weekend. Arlen Specter is in trouble with the voters in Pennsylvania.

A look inside the numbers shows the problem for Specter may be even more significant. Fifty-eight percent (58%) of Republican voters in the state are less likely to vote for Specter.

Among voters not affiliated with either major party, just 27% are more likely to support the long-time incumbent while 48% are less likely to do so.

These numbers are not surprising given the partisan response to the stimulus bill itself.

Nationwide, support for the stimulus legislation increased following President Obama’s nationally televised press conference earlier this week. Still, the legislation is perceived as being what Democrats want rather than a bipartisan product.

Obviously a misprint - the MSM tells us we want moderates in every political office.

I don’t know if it’s true, but if he’s planning on retiring, he won’t care.

Maybe Sen. Sphincter will have to cut back on his wining and dining visits to the White House until his numbers improve.

You gives a RA on what happens next year?
We need the GOP to pull his committee assignments..especially the Judicary and tell him they will come back if he votes NO.
This is the thing that drives us crazy. The GOP has no balls!!
Kennedy isn’t voting..so the margin just got less.
But mark my words Spector will screw us on a Supreme nomination as well.

I say we bring back tests like they used to find witches. We can throw him in the lake and he drowns it means he’s a good republican. If he floats it means he’s a democrat and we can flog him (I’m not so inhumane as to burn him)

He wouldn’t be here now if Bush and Santorum hadn’t supported him over Toomey.

“Would enjoy immensely the defeat of RINOS Specter, Collins & Snowe.”

I would, too! Unfortunately, we’ll only have the chance to replace one of them, in the near term. Only Specter is up for re-election in 2010.

Collins got re-elected last year, so she’s in until 2014 and we’ll have to wait until 2012 for Snowe (but that’ll also be the year of the SARAHlution!!!!!).

I hope and pray that we can take back the House and the Senate in 2010 (and replace as many RINOs as we can!).

Specter is a coward. He’s afraid to stand up to the Commie ‘RATS. What a disgrace.

Awesome! It will be really great when a Dem takes over this seat in a state that he won overwhelmingly and Obama has a filibuster proof majority on every issue! Rejoice!

If the GOP would not abandon Specter we would have an ally 2/3rds of the time and on critical procedural votes.

The other option is a Dem who will vote with Obama 95% of the time inclduing procedural votes. Let’s all go make that happen!!!

Without Kennedy- Specter, Collins, or Snowe will have to be the deciding vote.

I understand this bodes well for 2010, but there will be nothing left of America by then.
