I don’t see where that church is involved here. What brought that on?
What a freaking stupid idea to herd these folks around like some mobile Chinatown.
And they think the local folks, NO MATTER WHERE THEY ARE, wouldn’t be upset with this?
They should resettle these folks family by family all over the US.
I’m not against immigrants, I’M AGAINST STUPID IMMIGRATION POLICIES!
I saw the latest batch of KFC commercials had Yyson trucks in the background. While I stopped eating their crap some years ago because it tasted weird I hope less discerning Americans take note and stop patronizing them.
I have a reoccurring vision of Colonel Sanders coming back from the dead. He walks behind the counter, samples the crappy products and proceeds to annihilate the staff before making his way up the chain.
They are Coptic Christians from the Middle East. Probably the most persecuted people on the planet.
More than anyone else on Earth THEY certainly deserve to immigrate to the United States.
No, they are Egyptians who should either fight for their place in their own country or move to another one closer to their own culture. America needs jobs filled by Americans. We’ve had enough of sympathy racket destroying neighborhoods and whole cities. People like Ted Kennedy and Nancy Pelosi who push it don’t have to deal with it. Real people do.
These folks are herded into Nashville and live in an enclave along with all the others off Murfressboro Rd. Going to Shelbyville to take jobs from locals is not right. I’m sure Nashville gets money to accept these folks and house them. I would like to see the original immigration agreements between Nashville and Washington.
Sorry. I completely disagree.
Most immigrants who come here to escape persecution love America and what She stands for. They want to learn, to adapt and to integrate.
The others, illegal or otherwise, come to make a buck. That’s all they want from America. They hate the country and they hate the people that live here. They are the ones that are needed to be tossed out, the door slammed shut - hard.
I agree. That's just ridiculous. And all it does is stir-up resentment. They need to be spread out not concentrated like cattle.
Then the law needs to be changed. I'm sure when Tyson moved in, the taxpayers of the Shelbyville area footed the bill for some nice incentives for Tyson. Of course, the deal was Tyson would provide jobs and general economic development for those providing the incentives. Now, hiding behind state equal opportunity laws, Tyson can evade their end of the bargain. A nice racket.
I'm glad you caught the jist of my point. Nashville is making money from the fed and concentrating thousands of ME immigrants in one area.
I understand a need for displaced souls to have familiarity with their culture but it seems to be profit driven for the city to keep herding them in. Now it's spilling over to the rural areas that cannot provide for these folks.
They have, but it didn’t help that the previous President was a Multiculturalist to the core.
I see you recognize part of my objections: the enclaves that have surgically cut the immigrants and illegals alike off from absorbing the culture they need to absorb. Aside from lumping both groups together the GD Liberals think it’s an insulting disposition to ask them to change from their former habits in any way. Lord knows they can’t have them actually succeeding on their own and escape from the plantation mentality the Democrats so depend upon.
I barely escaped an apartment house on Nolensville Pike with my life. I tried to stick it out but even the cops told me it was a losing battle. The illegals were too cowardly to confront me so they beat my car and made him surrender.
How do you prove that most (????) immigrants who come here to escape persecution love America and what She stands for?
I tend to think most immigrants would include more of the illegal/immoral type.
