More on this later, but wanted to get the name of the 7 dems who voted "no" on the embarrassing porkulus bill in the House.
D's No! Bright (AL) Griffith (AL) Peterson (MN) Shuler (NC) DeFazio (OR) Minnick (ID) Taylor (MS)
Present: Lipinski (IL)
Flood the phones to Arlen Specter, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins' offices!!!!

However, on Heath Shuler...he has already held fund raisers (with Bubba in Raleigh) and aims to run for Senate in NC...2010 against Burr.
He “asked permission” of Pelosi to vote against the bill, but his record has largely been LIBERAL.
Taylor (MS) voted no to save his life. He’d be ripped to shreds by the locals for a Yes vote. I wish his was principled vote, but doubt it seriously.

Must be something in the drinking water there.
Before you congratulate those Dems, remember that they all voted for Nancy Pelosi to be Speaker of the House.
I hate them all....
if they were really FOR America and against this bill, they would have been LOUD and CLEAR from the getgo and persuaded their fellow rats to vote it down....
“these people knew that their vote didn’t matter.....they just voted to save their jobs......”
Yeah but it was a crack away from the speaker. We should congratulate them. If they got a ton of mail and emails from like minded republicans... we might see them on our side more often.
However, on Heath Shuler...he has already held fund raisers (with Bubba in Raleigh) and aims to run for Senate in NC...2010 against Burr.
What are his chances? If Shuler gets into North Carolina, I think it would mean that North Carolina is officially blue. Virginia is officially a blue state now. Two Democratic Senators and voting for Democratic President pretty much proves that.
I give them nothing ... just giving themselves cover ... heard next to nothing about the horrendous nature of yesterday’s bill from them.
Democrats = Marxists. No excuses.
Well his chances are slim.
He has snookered the folks in WNC , but statewide he won’t fare so well.
Lipinski’s also pro-life.
Agreed.
Behaviorial reinforcement works wonders.
Reward good behavior, punish the bad.
They did what was right, no matter their motive. They need encouragement to again do what is right the next time around.
