Now Obama's lawyers have filed a motion to quash our effort to obtain the relevant documents (cf. Bob Unruh's WND article Sanctions sought in eligibility case.) I am told that it includes a demand that monetary penalties be assessed against me and the other plaintiffs in the suit.

This is roughly analagous to a local Mayor threatening to sue a citizen for damages for simply filing a Freedom of Information request.

Clearly, the most highly protected state secret today is contained in a vault in Hawaii.

True, but the same damaging information about Obama's place of birth and/or citizenship status may also be in O's college records - from Occidental, Columbia, or Harvard Law School. Hence the defendants' motion to quash the subpoena for the Occidental records in the Keyes suit, plus the added viciousness of asking for monetary sanctions against the plaintiffs.
