I used to LOVE baseball..could tell you every stat, who played for who, etc..
After the last strike I swore I’d never watch and/or follow it again..and I haven’t..they lost at least one fan (me) for good..
I hear you loud and clear. That last strike year stunk from a lot of different standpoints.
I can remember being at the last Indians game before the strike. You should have seen the signs the fans brought and the chants of don’t go coming out during the game. At the time, the Indians were 66-47, in 1st place playing their 1st season in the new ballpark. It hurt when the season ended that day.
And now with the steroids and stuff, it’s real easy to be turned off by the sport.
I quit it too, but, came back as it turns out based on fakery-the 1998 McGuire-Sosa home run battle. I’m still hooked, I guess its from childhood and actually playing the game and loving it.
