We were winning the battle against the persecutors of peaceful pro-life picketers. Misuse of the RICO laws was starting to fail. But I’m afraid the momentum has now turned the other way again. It’s going to be a hard and painful fight. Police brutality will increase, legal defense will get scarcer, and we may eventually see the reappearance of violence as peaceful protests start to seem useless again.
