Barack Obama loves Lincoln. It seems not a day goes by that he isn't quoting the Civil War icon or comparing himself to that great man. But it looks like we are finding one great leader that Barack Obama doesn't like so much: Winston Churchill.
It appears that President Obama is dissing the Brit's most famous and stalwart leader by quickly returning the most famous bust of the man loaned to this country by the United Kingdom in the aftermath of 9//11. The return of the bust of Churchill flustered the British government because they didn't ask for it to be returned. Our best ally was nonplussed and even quickly told Obama he could keep it in the Oval Office where Bush had displayed the piece of art. Obama told them no thanks which made the Brits even more amazed.

I suspect Obama doesn’t like Churchill because he saw the Soviets and the communists for what they were. The bust reminded him of Churchill’s insult to Stalin.

Churchill was an ardent defender of freedom. It is only natural that a socialist quasi marxist (I am not sure about the quasi) does not want a bust of Churchill in the oval office.
He has a bust of Stalin that he wants to put in its place.
Maybe even Lenin or Winnie Mandella.

I have to admit, that you could be right about the reason for the return of the bust. That article is powerful stuff. It would be funny to post a link to that article on a British web site, in defense of Geert Wilder and his film. Ask the Brits, what has changed?
Churchill has less happy connotations for Mr Obama than those American politicians who celebrate his wartime leadership. It was during Churchill's second premiership that Britain suppressed Kenya's Mau Mau rebellion. Among Kenyans allegedly tortured by the colonial regime included one Hussein Onyango Obama, the President's grandfather.
