Let me add this for edification and follow-up:

In case no one noticed, while the names may have slipped into obscurity and disuse, the activities and potential for violence haven't. Please take the 15 minutes or so to view the following, and consider the following points that are raised therein:

The four stages of the undermining of a free society are as follows:

• Demoralization - (basically completed)
  Infiltrate publishers, educators, legislators, businesses;
  Create extended cadre of informers;
  Utilize 'useful idiots' to push ideology.
• Destabilization - (in process)
  2 - 5 years of building unrest and anarchy.
• Crisis -
  6 - 12 months of total breakdown of societal security norms.
• "Normalization" -
  Total militarization of the security apparatus; the tanks move in.

The communist goals were entered into the Congressional record by Albert Herlong, Jr. (a Floridian who served in Congress from 1949-69).

The goals that he read were taken from "The Naked Communist" by Cleon Skousen, which can be purchased from Amazon. "[W. Cleon Skousen worked] in the FBI for 16 years, taught at the university level, and served as a Chief of Police in Salt Lake City and a Field Director for the American Security Council in Chicago. It is a simple and straightforward book that examines the philosophies and objectives of Communism; outlines the history of the Communist takeovers in Russia, Eastern Europe, China, Korea, and Cuba; and details the short commings of Communist teachings and society. Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Krushchev, and Castro are discussed in detail, as well as many others, including some influential Americans. Mr. Skousen makes very plain the threat of Communism in the United States and how previous failures to act led to so many countries falling to Communism."

Strange; the first time I clicked that FR link, I got No such file (give_legacy_article) -- then found that dls442 had beat me to it!       ;^)

But a couple of refreshes later brought it back. Also found that HeilToTheChiefNOT! had already determined that most of these are fait accompli:

DONE EMPHASIS MINE. How many of the above goals apply today in America?

I count ALL BUT THREE...any comments,corrections welcome.

#11,#35 and #45 are the only ones left to accomplish.# 7 was accomplished on 10/10/00
