IIRC, the development and production cost of that bike was closer to $200,000.

The Trek Madone retails above $7,000. Customized can go upwards of $12,000.

The way this country is going, we all may have to ride one. Wealth distribution is a bi%^*.

All joking aside, Lance one of his 7 on a Huffy.

200K to help shave off a couple of seconds can be the difference in winning or losing, for a team, it is worth the cost.

They did donate the bike to him, correct?

I hope he and the team get their bikes back.

Almost seems poetic that it's now in the possession of a vato hailing from Michoacán.

Had to look up an urban slang dictionary to find out what a vato was.

I’m up north and mercifullly, illegals still stay well under the radar here for the most part.

Lance had a bad day in that his time trial bike was stolen, he crashed along the route and also had a flat. He still finished with the pact about 2 minutes back.

Fabian Cancellara the time trial winner yesterday withdrew today at the first feed station citing a fever as the reason.

Unfortunately, the consequences of illegal immigration from Mexico and legal immigration from Russia commit the bulk of the petty crime in metropolitan Sacramento. The Russian don't ride BMX bikes or pedal bikes of any kind. Bet on the vatos.

You know, we’re getting close to the point where a story like this wouldn’t get in the news.

Just like people are sick and tired of hearing about Octomom and her leeching ways, hearing some sob story from a rich celeb ain’t exactly the way to get alot of sympathy.

Somebodies liable to catch up with Lancy boy, take him into an alley, and give him something he can REALLY whine about.

Not me, I don’t know hardly anything about him, and really don’t give a rat’s behind, but I’m commenting on social and cultural dynamics here.

Some guy who’s having trouble feeding his kids and is a couple months behind in his mortgage ain’t exactly gonna cry in his beer because of Lances missing tricycle!

Lance feeds his family because he can ride a bike faster than anybody else. He’s whining because that’s how he feeds his family. If the person that’s crying in their beer quit drinking beer decided to get a skill like Lance Armstrong did, he would be crying in champagne instead.

I’m not denying either of those things.

But remember, Marie Antoinette said something like “Let them eat cake...” or whatever.

Didn’t exactly make the population rave about her. Maybe they ate cake after they chopped her head off.

Stands to reason that in times of economic distress, folks who display and parade around in their opulence are liable to catch some heat.

Strange. They’ll have to either part it out or sell it to a collector.

You should try KHS. Inexpensive, yet great quality.
