We have several Paps ourselves :-)
And I agree on the "rescues". The ones we contacted had one foot in the loony bin. After three tries we went elsewhere.
In my opinion, the rescue cause is an admirable one. However, the number if idiots that participate are doing more harm to their cause than good. And I say this having a relative that does rescues. She is adamantly opposed to bills like this.

Ours will always be a puppy. We had her spayed early so she would never be a mom and always a baby. She is patient when the girls dress her in clothes and is happy to be sitting on a lap.
We are very blessed to have her (and her pet cat, who came to us not long after).
